TECMED governance model: integrated care in the person


BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE PRESENTATION

The TEC-MED model, a pioneering model of socio-ethical-transcultural care for dependent elderly people and/or those at risk of social exclusion, "focused on integrated care and on providing coordinated, proactive, multidisciplinary assistance to the elderly". This model is offered to public and private institutions that already want to respond to the health crisis that has so seriously affected the elderly by developing a common model supported by computer applications, the project can help to establish a reference model for social care in the Mediterranean region.

BRIEF RESUME OF THE SPEAKER

Ana María Porcel Gálvez has a PhD from the University of Granada. She has a degree in Biological Sciences. Diploma in Nursing. End of Degree Award in Nursing. Expert in Epidemiology and Clinical Research. Postdoctoral degree in Nursing from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil. Coordinator of the PADI CTS 1050 group "Care, Chronicity and Health Outcomes", Coordinator of the International Network for Research in Nursing Taxonomies (REITE) and the Spanish Association of Nursing Taxonomy and Diagnosis (AENTDE), and evaluator of the research project of the Ministry of Health of the Andalusian Regional Government and member of the Research Commission of the University of Seville.
